We collect information you provide when creating an account and profile, including your email address, display name, handle, city/region/country (no precise GPS), disciplines, experience level, gym affiliation, and optional profile photo. We also collect community contributions such as gym questions, community notes, and verification requests.
We use your information to operate the Vireya Connect platform, display your public profile to community members (according to your visibility settings), facilitate community features like local questions and gym discovery, and send platform-related communications. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Location access is optional and requested only when you tap “Sort by: near me” in the gym directory. Your precise device location is used temporarily on your device to filter and sort nearby gym results. It is not stored, added to your profile, or shared with other users.
Photo access is optional and requested only when you choose to add or change your profile photo. You may select an existing image or use the system photo picker to take a new one. Only the image you select is uploaded to your Vireya Connect profile. Vireya Connect does not request access to your contacts or microphone and does not use device permissions for advertising or tracking.
Your profile photo visibility can be set to public, members-only, or admin-only. Your display name and handle are visible to other members. You control your contact preferences and whether you appear as a local connector. Profile location is shared only at the city/region level. Precise device coordinates used for nearby gym sorting are never stored on your profile.
User-generated content (profile bios, gym notes, community questions) is reviewed before appearing publicly. Moderation decisions are made by our admin team. Content that violates our Community Guidelines may be removed or hidden. If you report content or another user, your report is visible to admins only.
Photos submitted as part of Connector or Ambassador verification may be reviewed by Vireya administrators solely for identity and community verification purposes.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via Settings → Delete Account, or by visiting vireyajiujitsu.com/account-deletion. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days. We retain records of completed deletion requests for legal compliance purposes.
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use anonymized analytics to understand how the platform is used. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
